CEFIC European Basic Acrylate Manufacturers (EBAM)

EBAM is a Sector Group of CEFIC (the European Chemical Industry Council) representing the European producers of acrylic acid and the basic acrylate esters. EBAM's member companies are: Arkema Inc., BASF, Degussa, Dow, Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Rohm & Haas Chemicals LLP, Sasol Dia Acrylates Ltd.

EBAM promotes the safe transportation, handling, and use of the basic acrylic monomers in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines through a proactive product stewardship program. Intercompany Committee on Safety and Handling of Acrylic Monomers (ICSHAM)

ICSHAM's member companies include the basic acrylic monomer (acrylic acid and methyl, ethyl, butyl and 2-ethylhexyl acrylates) producers in North America, namely BASF Corporation, Arkema Inc., American Acryl, Rohm & Haas Chemicals LLP, and The Dow Chemical Company.

ICSHAM is a chemical and engineering technology-oriented organization dedicated to making the shipping, handling and use of acyrlic monomers safer by promoting superior safety practices. It produces booklets, bulletins and videos to educate both users' and producers' personnel. The member companies share research responsibilities when needed for safety related data generation. They also share non-proprietary safety information (e.g., incident investigations, hardware recommendations).

Methacrylate Producers Association (MPA)

The Methacrylate Producers Association, Inc. (MPA) was formed in 1987 to address issues facing the basic methacrylates. MPA represents manufacturers and importers of methacrylic acid and its esters. MPA's member companies are: Arkema Inc., CYRO Industries, Lucite International and Rohm & Haas.

Since its formation, MPA has focused on regulatory, technical and product stewardship issues facing methacrylic acid, n-butyl methacrylate, ethyl methacrylate, methyl methacrylate and 2-ethylhexyl methacrylate. MPA has completed a significant voluntary testing program with these compounds and several publications. MPA Website
