About BAMM
The Basic Acrylic Monomer Manufacturers, Inc. (BAMM) was formed in 1986 to address issues facing the basic acrylates. BAMM represents manufacturers and importers of acrylic acid and its esters.
Since its formation, BAMM has focused on regulatory, technical and other product stewardship issues facing acrylic acid, n-butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, methyl acrylate and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate. BAMM has completed a significant voluntary testing program with these compounds, and several communication brochures, training videos, and publications.
Mission Statement
- BAMM will address issues associated with the acrylic monomers: acrylic acid, methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate.
- BAMM will anticipate regulatory trends and initiatives that could impact acrylic monomers and will develop and promote scientifically sound positions on key issues to members, regulators, legislators, stakeholders and the public.
- BAMM will continually evaluate the information needed to assess the safety of its products and will generate additional, scientifically sound studies when needed.
- BAMM will communicate the health and safety information on the acrylic monomers to its stakeholders and the public.
