About BAMM

The Basic Acrylic Monomer Manufacturers, Inc. (BAMM) was formed in 1986. Its members are: Arkema Inc., BASF, and The Dow Chemical Company. BAMM member companies work jointly to address important Health, Safety and Environmental issues involving the basic acrylate monomer products.

Since its formation, BAMM has focused on regulatory, technical and product stewardship issues facing acrylic acid, n-butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, i-butyl acrylate, methyl acrylate, t-butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate and 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate. As part of this work BAMM has completed a significant voluntary testing for these compounds, in support of the continued manufacture and use of these products in a broad range of application areas that are important to the quality of our everyday lives.
